Elmo Bianco, Jr. Obituary

Torrington - Elmo Bianco, Jr., 71, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Allison (Barton) Bianco.

        Elmo was born in Torrington on November 29, 1952, son of the late Elmo Bianco, Sr., and Alice (Zuffelato) Bianco, and had been a lifelong city resident. He was employed by Stone Container for 27 years. He started as a Union Steward and was promoted to Production Supervisor. He later worked for 10 years at Lowes. In his younger years, Elmo enjoyed playing the accordion. He enjoyed working on small engines, painting, art, and loved animals. Elmo will be remembered for his engaging and welcoming personality, sense of humor, and willingness to always lend a hand to someone in need.

        Survivors, in addition to his wife, Allison, include a son, Tony J. Bianco and his wife, Ashley, of Goshen; two sisters, Yvonne B. Richardson and her husband, Russell, of San Diego, CA, and Tami A. Mannix and her husband, Daniel, of San Diego, CA; and many nieces and nephews.

        A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 12:00 to 4:00p.m. at People's State Forest Pavilion, 106 E. River Rd., Barkhamsted, CT 06063.
