Torrington- Thomas George Clark, 84, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Havencare at Valerie Manor, Torrington. He was the beloved husband of Susan (Peters) Clark.
Tom was born in Torrington on July 7, 1941, son of the late Alfred and Gertrude (Paynter) Clark. He was a retired machinist with the Brunswick Corporation and later BnB Manufacturing. Tom was a member of the Marine Corps League and a dedicated supporter of the Marine Corp and all our U.S. service members. Because Tom grew up near the Newfield Road, he had close ties to the neighborhood and would also attend the Annual Newfield Reunion. He will be remembered as a hardworking and dedicated man, who spent his life working to take care of his beloved children.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, Susan, include children, Amy Brown and her partner Steve of Chicopee MA, Nicholas Landry of New Britain, Mathew Landry and his wife Amanda of Manchester, Thomas Clark, Jr. and his wife Nora of Springfield VA and Peter Clark and his partner Caitlin of Winsted; a sister Elaine Burdick of Adams MA; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Tom was predeceased by a sister Roberta (Clark) Moran and a brother Alfred "Chuck" Clark.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 3:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, with Pastor Caleb Schnurr officiating. Friends may call Saturday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00p.m. at the funeral home.
